STOP1: International Passenger Transport Center

Address: On the west bank of Huangpu River, near the Bund, with a coastline of nearly 1200 meters, it can harbor 3 luxury cruise ships of 70,000-ton class at the same time, providing 24-hour pilotage, tugboat and joint inspection services.

STOP2: Raysted Institute of Technology

Address: No. 505, Dongchangzhi Road, Hongkou District, Shanghai

Opened on October 1, 1934, the private civil engineering university was built with part of the Reed Foundation and named after Henry Reed (real estate developer and philanthropist). In January 1955, it was renamed Shanghai Seamen's Hospital.

STOP3:1929 ART SPACE

[Where we are]

Located in the CBD core area of north Bund, Hongkou District, Shanghai, it is adjacent to "Magnolia Tower", the tallest building in Puxi, and close to ocean Shipping Tower, COSCO Tower and other high-rise buildings. Designed and built by British architect M.R., it has 6 floors and a building area of 15000 square meters. It is a classic British building, composed and fine, and rich in cultural deposits.

[What we offer]

• After the Opium War, Shanghai was opened as one of the five treaty ports. As soon as the port of Shanghai was opened, ships from capitalist countries rushed in and acted illegally. British merchant ships took the lead in not paying customs duties to the Qing government, prompting other countries to follow suit. Due to the lack of a clear management system, foreign ships ran amiss and accidents occurred frequently on the Huangpu River. At the end of September 1851, American Bellace was appointed as the first harbor master of Shanghai, responsible for the management of ships in the harbor and the maintenance of order in the harbor.

• After the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, The port experienced a depression and the cargo throughput declined sharply. In 1949, it was only 1.94 million tons, one-seventh of that in 1931.

• After the founding of The People's Republic of China, Shanghai port went through a three-year recovery period, and its cargo throughput reached 5.6 million tons in 1952.

• In 1979, the first container line was opened. In 2017, the container throughput of Shanghai port exceeded 40 million TEU, and China's shipping industry advanced by leaps and bounds. In 2019, Shanghai port creat a new record -- the world's largest container ship "Mediterranean Gulsong" safely berthed at Yangshan deep-water port. The ship is 399.9 meters long, 61.5 meters wide and has a carrying capacity of 220,000 tons. It unloaded more than 2,000 containers at Yangshan Port.
